The Compost Sock

Consisting of mesh tubes filled with biologically active composted material.  Compost socks will slow and filter water to capture and degrade pollutants transported by runoff.  Like compost berms, socks filled with compost can be placed at the top of slopes and on the contour across slopes to intercept and treat sheet runoff.
